Shopify App Developer – Ecommerce Search, Filter & Shopify APIs

We are looking for an experienced Shopify App Developer. We are not looking for a basic Shopify theme developer. You must have hands-on experience developing Shopify Apps, working with Shopify APIs, and building production-ready ecommerce functionality. Experience Required 5+ years of professional Shopify development experience What You Will Work On You will be involved in developing and improving Shopify applications focused on: Product search Search autocomplete Advanced product filtering Product sorting and ranking Search suggestions Typo-tolerant search Search synonyms Product boosting and pinning Product merchandising Collection filtering Product recommendations Ecommerce analytics Shopify storefront integrations Product data synchronization AI-powered/semantic search features Responsibilities Develop and maintain custom and public Shopify Apps. Work with Shopify Admin API, GraphQL Admin API, Storefront API and Webhooks. Build secure Shopify app authentication using OAuth. Work with Shopify billing and app configuration where required. Integrate apps with Shopify themes and Online Store 2.0. Work with Liquid and Theme App Extensions. Handle Shopify products, variants, collections, tags, metafields and metaobjects. Build product indexing and synchronization systems. Develop scalable backend APIs and services. Optimize application performance and API usage. Handle Shopify API rate limits and version upgrades. Debug and resolve production issues. Write tests and participate in deployment and production support. Required Technical Skills Shopify Shopify App Development Shopify Admin API GraphQL Storefront API Webhooks OAuth Shopify CLI Liquid Theme App Extensions Online Store 2.0 Metafields & Metaobjects Frontend JavaScript TypeScript React HTML/CSS AJAX / Fetch API Backend Strong experience with at least one: Node.js Python PHP Ruby on Rails Database / Infrastructure PostgreSQL or MySQL REST APIs GraphQL Redis / caching Background jobs / queues Git / GitHub Docker Experience with Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Algolia, Meilisearch or similar search technologies is a strong advantage.
