ThinkScript to Python Developer (Equity Strategies & Backtesting)

Project Description: I am building an automated equity trading system and need an experienced developer to help evaluate, backtest, and translate proprietary equity strategies from Thinkorswim into Python. Scope of Work: Backtest Equity Scripts: Review provided Thinkorswim ThinkScript scripts. Run historical backtests on equity data to verify profitability, win rates, and drawdowns. Parameter Optimization: Optimize key variables (e.g., moving average lengths, thresholds) to maximize risk-adjusted returns without over-fitting. Python Conversion: Translate the validated equity strategy logic into clean Python code using frameworks like Backtrader or Backtesting.py, keeping future integration with Interactive Brokers (IBKR) in mind. Required Skills: Expertise in Thinkorswim / ThinkScript Strong Python programming skills focused on stock market data and backtesting libraries Understanding of equity market mechanics (e.g., handling splits, dividends, and regular trading hours) To Apply: Please provide examples of past work involving ThinkScript or Python equity backtests.
