Mobile App Developer (Claude Code) About MilkEaze MilkEaze makes a non-invasive wearable that measures milk transfer directly, during a real feed. It answers the one question breastfeeding has never been able to answer: how much milk did my baby just get? The device works. We are now looking for a developer to build the app that pairs with it. The Role You will build the first release of the MilkEaze app for both iOS and Android, built from what mothers told us they want. Before writing any code, we asked mothers. They walked through thirteen moments of the app, from the first feed to the day they stop, and at each one ranked what mattered most to them and told us why. Those results are your brief. Your job is to turn them into a real app that feels like what they asked for. The first release covers: • Pairing with the wearable over Bluetooth Low Energy and capturing a feed in real time • The result after every feed: how much milk transferred, always paired with a confidence level • Calm handling when a reading is low or the device cannot get one • Feed history, trends, and a mother's own patterns over time • Light logging of sleep, mood, food, and baby, plus Apple Health and Google Health Connect • Pumping, time apart, and sharing with a partner or a provider • Accounts, offline capture with later sync, and careful handling of sensitive health data You will also work with our team to decide what ships first, using the research to decide what earns its place. What Is Already in Place • A live backend with a documented REST API, built and owned by our CTO • A feature specification of roughly 90 features, each with its data source and feasibility worked out • Research results from real mothers, including their rankings, ideas, and notes • Brand guidelines and a shared GitHub repository How You Will Work • You will report to our CTO, who will direct and review your work through Cursor • Claude Code is your primary build tool • Small team, mostly async, with a short weekly check-in • Engagement: [hours per week], [expected length], starting with a paid first milestone Requirements • Shipped at least one enterprise app to both the App Store and Google Play • Strong experience in React Native or Flutter • Real Claude Code experience on production work • Bluetooth Low Energy integration with a physical device • Experience consuming a REST API, handling authentication, and building offline-first sync • Product judgment: able to build from research and priorities rather than finished mockups • Git and pull request based workflow Nice to Have • Experience with health, wellness, or medical apps and sensitive personal data • Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect • Experience building companion apps for consumer hardware To Apply Please include: • A short bio • Why you would be a good fit for this role • Links to apps you have shipped • A brief answer to one question: describe something you built mostly with Claude Code.
