Engineering Manager, E-commerce Platform and AI

We need a hands-on engineering manager who leads a remote team, still reviews and writes code, and delivers the migration without breaking live sales. What you’ll do Manage a remote team of engineers: planning, code reviews, delivery, hiring and standards. Own the migration end to end: data, integrations, URLs and SEO, cut-over and rollback. Keep the commerce platform and the ERP in sync for products, orders and stock. Run AI agents in engineering safely: tests, evals and human review before anything goes live. Make sure nothing is “done” until it is tested and verified. What we need 5+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years managing engineers who reported to you. A live e-commerce or marketplace migration you led, for example from Shopify, Magento or WooCommerce to a headless or custom platform. Strong TypeScript or Node.js and PostgreSQL; Python is a plus. Experience connecting commerce to an ERP or order management system. Hands-on experience with AI coding agents or LLM systems in a team, including how you checked their output. Cloud and edge experience, for example Google Cloud or AWS, and Cloudflare or another CDN. Nice to have Headless commerce frameworks such as Medusa, Saleor or commercetools. ERPNext/Frappe, Odoo or similar. Product data pipelines at large scale, with hundreds of thousands of products or more.
