Job Title: Full Stack Django Developer About the Role We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Django Developer to join our engineering team and help drive updates, feature enhancements, and maintenance for our financial education software platform. As we prepare our B2B application for wider distribution to schools and universities, we need a versatile developer who can jump into an existing codebase and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions across both the front-end and back-end. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our team to implement new product features, optimize database performance, and ensure smooth, containerized deployments. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Full Stack Development:** Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code across the stack, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of requests from the front-end to the back-end. * **Django & Python Mastery:** Develop and implement robust back-end logic, APIs, and administrative tools utilizing Python and the Django framework. * **Database Management:** Manage, query, and optimize our PostgreSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and fast retrieval times for end-users. * **Containerization & Deployment:** Utilize Docker to containerize application environments, ensuring consistency across development, testing, and production. * **Front-End Updates:** Build and refine user interfaces using HTML and CSS, translating UI/UX wireframes into functional, accessible, and responsive web pages. * **Code Maintenance:** Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade the existing software, implementing seamless updates without disrupting user access. **Required Qualifications:** * Proven professional experience as a Full Stack Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects built with Python and Django. * Solid hands-on experience designing and managing relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL. * Proficiency in containerization using Docker and an understanding of modern deployment workflows. * Strong command of core front-end web technologies, including HTML5 and CSS3 (knowledge of JavaScript is highly preferred). * Experience jumping into existing codebases to audit, refactor, and implement updates. * Ability to write clean, readable, and easily maintainable code while adhering to best practices.
