Full-Stack Engineer — AI Voice Interviews & Payments Platform

What we're building Daely is a hiring platform. Candidates take a live voice interview with an AI interviewer, get scored on real skills, and contractors are paid through our own wallet. Both halves are live in production today. What you'd work on Voice AI: our interview pipeline runs on Pipecat with Daily transport and Cartesia TTS, backed by OpenAI. Work involves latency in the voice loop, transcript scoring, and making those scores defensible enough that recruiters trust them. Payments: Stripe and Cadana, with our own wallet, payout worker and treasury reconciliation. Multi-currency, real money, and the ledger has to balance every time. Our stack Backend: Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic, PostgreSQL (Supabase), Redis, arq workers AI: OpenAI, Pipecat, LangSmith, FAISS Frontend: Next.js, TypeScript, TanStack Query, Tailwind Infra: GCP, GKE, Terraform, Cloud Build What we're looking for 4+ years building production Python backends Shipped a real payment integration — Stripe, ledgers, webhooks, reconciliation Comfortable with async Python and background workers Can work independently and make architectural calls without hand-holding Nice to have Real-time audio or WebRTC experience LLM work beyond prompt-writing — evals, scoring, structured output Next.js/TypeScript for full-stack work Engagement 40-50 hours/week to start, ongoing.
