have a collection of bank statements that arrive each month in PDF, and every file is a little adventure: some pages are selectable text, others are straight-up scanned images, and the overall design changes from statement to statement. Here’s what I need from you: pull both the full transaction list and the high-level account summary from every statement and place them in a clean, well-structured Excel workbook. Because layouts are completely different across files, the job will likely involve a mix of OCR, pattern recognition, and manual verification rather than a single template-based script. Accuracy is far more important than speed; dates, descriptions, amounts, running balances, opening/closing balances, and any summary totals must match the source exactly.
