Senior WordPress Developer | Auto Dealer Sites, DMS API, ADF/XML, Bilingual & UX

We are seeking a senior WordPress developer or small development team to build a reusable, multi-brand automotive dealership website platform for a U.S.-based automotive retail group. The initial rollout will support two separate consumer dealership brands/domains, multiple physical locations, and future expansion to additional brands and stores. This is not a basic WordPress/page-builder project. The platform requires automated vehicle inventory, advanced SRP/search/filtering and VDP functionality, VIN/specification enrichment, multi-location routing, English/Spanish content, financing and CRM integrations, marketplace feeds, technical SEO, and strong administrative controls. Required experience includes: Advanced WordPress/PHP and custom plugin development Automotive inventory, SRP/VDP, or comparable large structured-data websites REST/API integrations and vehicle/VIN data APIs such as MarketCheck or equivalent CSV/XML/SFTP inventory-feed integration ACF Pro and structured WordPress data modeling WPML/ACFML bilingual implementations Yoast SEO Premium, schema, canonicals, hreflang, redirects and programmatic SEO Azure Blob Storage/SFTP/Logic Apps or similar cloud integration Kinsta hosting, server cron, caching and performance optimization CRM/lead routing in ADF/XML JavaScript/AJAX filtering, favorites, comparison and interactive automotive UX Git-based staging → QA → production deployment Core Web Vitals, responsive UX, accessibility and security SEO-safe website migrations and 301 redirect planning Our preferred approach is to use proven WordPress components where appropriate, customize only where necessary, and minimize unnecessary from-scratch development and vendor lock-in. The client must retain full control of hosting, accounts, credentials, data and source code. All project-specific custom development must be fully owned by the client and reusable across current and future affiliated brands without developer royalties, per-site fees or recurring custom-code licensing fees.
