Agentic AI Portal Architect

SapienceS2P is seeking an experienced Portal Architect to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of real-time, AI-assisted portals built on SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Azure. You will own the solution architecture across three connected domains — live SAP integration, real-time portal reporting and dashboards, and agentic AI — and lead a small, multi-disciplinary team from estimation and design through to go-live. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will set the technical direction, produce credible estimates for reporting and integration scope, make the key architecture decisions (including how to deliver real-time behaviour without over-loading the SAP production system), and be the technical face of the engagement with the client. Key Responsibilities 1. End-to-End SAP S/4HANA Integration • Own the integration architecture from SAP source objects to the portal — designing real-time reads via CDS views exposed as OData, and delta/CDC loads into a data lake for history. • Select and justify the right integration pattern per object (OData, BAPI/RFC, IDoc, ADF, SLT, or SAP Datasphere) and design for performance, security and governance. • Ensure real-time queries do not impact the SAP transactional workload — read-optimised views, caching, and query governance. • Define the canonical data model spanning Inventory Management and Production Planning objects (material master, stock, MRP elements, BOM, routings, orders, demand). 2. Portal Reporting — Estimation & Dashboards • Lead the estimation of reporting scope — sizing report and dashboard effort (e.g. up to 30 real-time reports), producing defensible person-day estimates and delivery plans. • Design the semantic model and dashboards over the gold/live data, primarily in Power BI / Microsoft Fabric DirectQuery for real-time behaviour, embedded in the portal. • Define row-level security and role-based access so users see only the data appropriate to them. • Set reporting standards, reusable templates and performance targets, and mentor BI developers to deliver against them. 3. Agentic AI • Architect agentic AI workflows (orchestrator + specialist/advisory agents) on Azure OpenAI, with hybrid RAG (Azure AI Search) grounded on curated SAP data. • Design agents that read live SAP data, reason, explain their recommendations, and keep a human in the loop for any action. • Establish guardrails, content-safety, evaluation and observability for the agents (accuracy, grounding, cost and latency). • Choose and apply orchestration frameworks (Semantic Kernel, AutoGen or equivalent) and LLMOps practices. 4. Architecture Leadership & Delivery • Own the end-to-end solution architecture across portal (React/TypeScript), API layer, identity (Entra ID / OAuth2), Azure platform, security and networking. • Produce estimates, delivery plans and milestone schedules; support pre-sales and proposals with credible scope and effort. • Lead and mentor a team of 4–6 (developers, data engineer, AI developer, BI developer); set standards and review deliverables. • Be the technical point of contact for the client — run discovery, present designs, and manage technical risks to go-live.   Essential Skills & Experience • 8+ years in solution / enterprise architecture, including hands-on delivery leadership of complex integration projects. • Deep SAP integration experience with S/4HANA — CDS views, OData/OData v4, BAPI/RFC/IDoc, and one or more of ADF, SLT or SAP Datasphere; strong grasp of SAP data (ideally Inventory & Production Planning / MRP). • Microsoft Azure architecture — App Service / Container Apps, API Management, Key Vault, private networking, and cost-aware design. • Power BI / Microsoft Fabric — semantic modelling, DirectQuery, embedded analytics, row-level security; proven reporting estimation experience. • Agentic AI / LLM delivery — Azure OpenAI (or equivalent), RAG, orchestration frameworks (Semantic Kernel / AutoGen / LangChain), prompt design, guardrails and evaluation. • Full-stack awareness — React / TypeScript front ends, REST/streaming APIs, OAuth2 / Entra ID authentication. • Strong estimation, planning and stakeholder-management skills; able to translate business needs into architecture and credible numbers. • Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenting to senior client stakeholders. Desirable • Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, SAP integration credentials, Power BI / Fabric certifications. • Domain experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical supply chain, inventory and production planning. • Delivery as a Microsoft Partner; experience with LLMOps / MLOps and data governance (Microsoft Purview).
