AI Automation Architect – Shopify, Customer Support, Order Tracking & Web App Automation

We are looking for a skilled AI Automation Architect / Developer to design and implement reliable, production-ready automation across Shopify, Gmail, our custom web application, and Playwrightbased browser automation workflows. The goal is to build a smart, scalable automation system that can handle customer support, order tracking, and internal business workflows while maintaining accuracy, security, and clear manual-review controls. Project Overview The first milestone focuses on an AI-powered order tracking and customer support workflow. When a customer emails Gmail about their order or delivery status, the system should identify the customer's intent, find the correct Shopify order using the order number or customer email, retrieve the latest fulfillment and tracking information, and generate an appropriate response based only on verified data. The response should be saved as a Gmail draft for manual review. Emails must not be automatically sent during this phase. The system must never invent or assume information such as tracking numbers, delivery dates, order status, or carrier details. If an order cannot be confidently identified, multiple orders match, tracking information is unavailable, or the data cannot be verified, the workflow should safely flag the case for manual review. Custom Web Application Automation Alongside the Shopify and Gmail workflow, we also have a custom personal web application that needs to be integrated into the automation ecosystem. The developer will connect the web application with external services and APIs, automate internal processes within the platform, and structure the system so the web app can become a central hub for future AI-powered workflows and business automation. In addition, Playwright-based automation may be required to interact with web interfaces where APIs are not available, enabling reliable browser-level automation, data extraction, and workflow execution inside the web application and external systems.
