AI/Claude Code Growth Engineer for Automotive E-Commerce

*FULL TIME POSITION - 830 AM TO 5 PM, NEW YORK TIME ZONE, 40+ HOUR WORK WEEK** **CLAUDE CODE IS REQUIRED, IF YOU DO NOT USE CLAUDE CODE FOR ALL SOFTWARE DEV, DO NOT APPLY** ---- We are looking for a second highly capable developer who is extremely comfortable working with Claude Code and AI-assisted development to help improve and grow an established automotive e-commerce platform. This is not a traditional frontend developer position. We want someone who thinks in terms of systems, automation, conversion, customer experience, and measurable business outcomes. You will work directly with the founder/CEO and alongside our existing backend/catalog developer. Our existing developer primarily focuses on backend/catalog infrastructure, including product data, fitment, ACES/PIES, catalog ingestion, data sanitation, and related systems. You will primarily own the customer-facing and growth technology layer. This includes: Frontend improvements Conversion-rate optimization Checkout and purchasing flows Customer account experience Product-page UX Site search and discovery UX Customer-service automation AI customer-support agents/chatbots Klaviyo integrations and automated lifecycle flows Remarketing infrastructure Marketing automation Analytics and event tracking SEO/AIO-related frontend and technical improvements Schema and structured data implementation Landing pages Experimentation and A/B testing infrastructure Ensuring backend/catalog data is displayed correctly and clearly to customers Identifying friction throughout the customer journey Building internal or automated tools that improve growth and customer experience We are particularly interested in developers who can use Claude Code or similar AI coding tools at a very high level. We don't want someone who waits several days to manually build something AI-assisted development can accomplish much faster. What Success Looks Like You should ultimately help us improve measurable outcomes such as: Conversion rate Add-to-cart rate Checkout completion Returning-customer rate Customer-service response time Email/remarketing revenue Organic search performance Site performance Customer experience Amount of manual work eliminated You don't need to personally be an expert graphic designer. We can provide design resources when necessary. You do need enough frontend judgment to recognize poor UX and implement polished, responsive experiences correctly. Ideal Candidate You: Use Claude Code extensively in your development workflow Are comfortable working inside an existing production codebase Understand modern frontend development Understand APIs and backend integrations Understand e-commerce conversion principles Can work with analytics/event tracking Can integrate marketing platforms such as Klaviyo Understand automation and AI agents Can independently investigate problems Think about business outcomes rather than just completing tickets Communicate clearly and document your work Can collaborate with another developer who owns a different technical lane Automotive or e-commerce experience is a major plus. Important We are an AI-first company. We want people who see AI as leverage—not as something to occasionally use for autocomplete. You will work directly underneath the founder/CEO, who is also highly technical and actively uses Claude Code. We move quickly, but accuracy matters.
