Azure Data Engineer, Part-Time (Governance-in-Pipeline, Healthcare, Canada)

We are a Canadian AI and data platform company working with a large healthcare operator on a multi-year data programme. We need a hands-on Azure data engineer to work alongside our data product lead on a part-time basis, roughly 24 hours a month to start, with scope to grow as the programme expands. The client's data estate was built to run transactions, not to answer questions. Nobody can easily say what data exists, where a number came from, who owns it, or whether it can be trusted. Our job is to move that estate to pipelines that can actually be mined, and to do it without commissioning a twelve-month current-state study first. Concretely, that means quality gates and data contracts that fail loudly inside the pipeline, automated detection of governance drift, and the routing that puts a detected breach in front of the named data owner with an escalation path when it is not addressed.
