Full Stack Backend Developer for Marketplace App

About the Project A two-sided marketplace app connecting service providers with clients for bookings. Currently in stealth — full product details shared under NDA after initial contact. The front end and product design are complete; we need a developer to wire up and complete the backend. What’s Already Built • Front-end codebase with all core screens designed • Partial Next.js 14 rebuild integrating frontend and backend • Supabase set up as the backend/database • Stripe Connect Express selected for payouts Scope of Work • Auth & Database: User authentication, Supabase database schema and RLS policies • Payments: Stripe Connect Express integration — deposits, balance payments, platform fee, payouts, refunds, and cancellation logic • Provider Management: Approval queue with tiered provider levels • Booking Lifecycle: Full booking flow management, deposit system, cancellation and response windows • File Delivery: Batch file upload and in-app delivery with expiring access • Reviews: Double-blind review system • Messaging: In-app messaging with contact-info scrubbing • Notifications: All major events must trigger both an in-app notification and an email — never just one channel • Admin Dashboard: Revenue overview, booking volume, approvals queue, dispute management, user management Requirements • Strong experience with Next.js, Supabase (Postgres, RLS, auth), and Stripe Connect • Comfortable working from an existing codebase and handoff documentation • Willing to sign an NDA before receiving full product details • Available for ongoing communication and iterative review cycles
