Odoo Consultant and developer

Job description: what you'll do We're looking for an experienced Odoo developer and technical adviser, part-time and ongoing. Our team runs Odoo day to day; we need you for the technical side and for advice on where to take the system next. • Advise. Review how we've set things up and tell us where we're working against Odoo. Recommend standard features over custom code where they fit, and help us plan changes before anyone builds them. • Build and maintain. Develop new features and fixes as clean, tested, upgrade-safe modules. Tidy existing custom modules, Studio fields and automation rules into code where that makes sense. • Integrations. Extend and troubleshoot the Shopify and Xero connectors and the warehouse integration. Keep the external API stable for our internal tools, and own the scheduled jobs and queues behind them. • Multi-company and money flows. Inter-company purchasing, multi-currency pricing, analytic accounting by project, and buy-to-order and drop-ship purchasing. • Platform care. Odoo.sh branches and staging, code review, deployments, future version upgrades, performance, access rights and security. • Documentation. Write down what you build so our team and our AI tools can work with it. Job description: who we're looking for You must have: • You must develop with AI and be efficient in writing code, debugging and able to work in a quick turn around, fast paced environment. • 5 or more years building on Odoo, including Enterprise, Odoo.sh and versions 17 to 19. • Strong Python, the Odoo ORM, XML views, OWL/JavaScript and PostgreSQL. • Integrations you've built or extended with e-commerce and accounting systems, ideally Shopify and Xero. • Multi-company, inter-company and multi-currency set-ups in Odoo. • Clear written English, and the ability to explain trade-offs to people who don't write code. • Must be based in Western Europe Nice to have: • Odoo partner status or Odoo certification. • B2B wholesale, promotional products or gifting, with buy-to-order and drop-ship purchasing. • Avalara, version upgrades with custom modules, and moving Studio work into code. • Giving AI tools or agents controlled API access to an ERP.
