Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) – AI & Agentic Web Platforms

Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the development of an AI-enabled Marketing Operating System (MarketingOS) and an agentic website for an early-stage technology company. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong full-stack development experience, AI/LLM integration capabilities, and experience building production-ready applications. The engineer will work directly with the customer's marketing leadership to translate business requirements into a practical technical architecture and deliver a functioning MVP. Key Responsibilities Architecture & MarketingOS Infrastructure • Design and implement the technical architecture for the MarketingOS, including shared configuration, skills, prompts, and agent execution frameworks. • Establish shared GTM/brand knowledge repositories and separate functional repositories for Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. • Operationalize existing AI skills and workflows rather than rebuilding them from scratch. Integrate agent workflows with CRM, CMS, and external tools through APIs. • Implement version control, deployment processes, security, and operational guardrails. Agentic Website Development • Recommend and implement a modern website architecture using technologies such as Next.js, React, TypeScript, Vercel, Cloudflare, and a headless CMS. • Build reusable website components and a structured content/block system using customer-provided designs. • Develop homepage, product, solution, resource, and landing page templates. • Implement dynamic, account-level content personalization based on recognized organizations, without individual visitor tracking. • Integrate website functionality with the MarketingOS and applicable CRM systems. • Ensure the website meets performance, accessibility, security, and SEO technical requirements. AI & Agent Integration • Implement LLM-based workflows, agent configurations, tools, and reusable execution patterns. • Build integrations between existing AI skill libraries and application services. • Establish appropriate validation, observability, testing, and human-review guardrails. • Support the integration of automated content generation and publishing workflows. Required Technical Skills • Strong full-stack development experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Next.js. • Experience building production web applications using modern cloud hosting and deployment platforms. • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, AI agents, tool calling, prompt orchestration, and structured outputs. • Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, integrations, and data models. • Experience with Git-based repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure configuration. • Experience integrating headless CMS platforms such as Sanity, Contentful, or similar. • Familiarity with Python for AI workflows and backend automation. • Ability to independently recommend architecture, make technical decisions, and deliver working solutions. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with AI agent frameworks such as LangGraph or similar orchestration tools. • Experience with AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, OpenAI, or comparable LLM platforms. • Knowledge of account-based personalization and marketing technology integrations. • Experience implementing technical SEO, structured metadata, and content publishing systems. • Prior experience working directly with startup founders or business stakeholders.
