Senior Full-Stack Engineer and Technical Lead: Migrate Low-Code Platform to Traditional Code

About the project: We are a US-based company that has an established application with thousands of users that is developed using Low-Code (Bubble.io), and we are looking for an experienced developer to transition our platform to a traditional codebase assisted by Claude Code. What you’ll do: - Design the new architecture and lead the move from Bubble to code - Plan and carry out the migration of live production data, with validation and a rollback plan - Replace Bubble privacy rules with Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) policies - Integrate Stripe (subscriptions, webhooks, failed-payment handling) and Postmark (transactional email) - Recommend and set up hosting, deployment, source control, and monitoring - Get the platform ready for a security review or pen test - Send clear status updates and help our project manager plan and prioritize the work Our stack: - Decided: Supabase, Claude Code, Postmark, Stripe, Squarespace (marketing site) - Considering, and looking for your input: Vercel, Cloudflare, GitHub, Sentry, and anything else you think we need Required Experience: - 6+ years of full-stack experience in TypeScript, comfortable with Next.js/React on the front end and server-side code on the back end - Strong Postgres and Supabase experience, especially Row Level Security - Has migrated live production data between systems before, with validation and a rollback plan - Stripe integration: subscriptions, webhooks, failed payments and retries - Security fundamentals: authentication, protecting personal data, managing secrets, and what a pen test looks for - Uses AI coding tools every day, ideally Claude Code, or is genuinely keen to, and has a clear process for reviewing AI-written code - Communicates clearly with non-technical people and isn’t afraid to push back Preferred Experience: - Familiar with Bubble or other low-code tools, ideally having moved a client off one before - Has owned hosting, deployment, and monitoring - DevOps comfort: GitHub Actions, Vercel, Cloudflare
