Senior Software Engineer – AI & Data Platforms Location: Remote Experience Level: Senior (6+ years) Project Type: Part-time Contract Language Requirement: Native-level English About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in AI platforms, data engineering, and machine learning infrastructure. You’ll architect and build enterprise-scale systems that power intelligent applications, focusing on production-grade AI solutions and cloud-native data platforms. Key Responsibilities Design and implement enterprise AI platforms supporting LLM integration, RAG architectures, and generative AI applications Architect scalable data platforms for ingesting, processing, and serving large volumes of data (millions of records/month) Build production ML platforms including model training pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and governance Develop secure REST APIs and microservices using Python, Java, or TypeScript Implement CI/CD automation, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code solutions Optimize distributed data processing pipelines and improve system performance Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver production-grade solutions Required Skills & Experience Core Technologies: Languages: Python, Java, or TypeScript/JavaScript AI/ML: Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, model deployment Data Engineering: Spark, Kafka, ETL/ELT pipelines, SQL Cloud Platforms: AWS or Azure (or both) DevOps & Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar Communication & Experience: Fluent, native-level English (verbal and written) – ability to communicate clearly in meetings, documentation, and code reviews 9+ years of software engineering experience Proven track record shipping production AI/ML systems Strong understanding of system design and scalability Experience building cloud-native applications Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting Nice-to-Have: Experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Llama, LangChain, LlamaIndex) Vector databases and semantic search implementations MLOps and ML platform development Healthcare, fintech, or enterprise software experience Kubernetes orchestration at scale Microservices and distributed systems architecture What We’re Looking For Excellent communication and collaboration skills Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Proactive in asking clarifying questions and providing updates Ability to mentor junior engineers Experience working in agile/fast-paced teams Deliverables Well-architected, production-ready code Automated testing and CI/CD pipelines Documentation and knowledge sharing Regular progress updates and collaboration
