SEO / PHP / MySQL Developer

About the Role: We're looking for an experienced SEO / PHP / MySQL Developer to help maintain and improve our existing PHP/MySQL platform. Your primary focus will be technical SEO, website optimization, PHP/MySQL development, bug fixes, and front-end improvements while preserving existing functionality. You'll work alongside our current development team, handling day-to-day improvements and collaborating on larger or more specialized projects when needed. Responsibilities - Implement technical SEO improvements. - Update meta tags, Schema.org, canonical tags, and Open Graph. - Maintain and improve existing PHP/MySQL code. - Fix front-end and back-end issues. - Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals. - Ensure responsive design across all devices. - Test changes before deployment. Requirements - Strong PHP and MySQL experience. - HTML, CSS, JavaScript. - Technical SEO experience. - Experience working with existing PHP applications. - Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. - Able to provide accurate time estimates for projects lasting more than a few hours and consistently meet those deadlines. - Available to work a regular schedule from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST or maintain substantial overlap during those hours. - Good communication and regular progress updates. Initial Project: The first assignment will be a $100 fixed-price project to perform a technical SEO review of our website and implement a few approved improvements. This allows us to evaluate your technical skills, communication, reliability, and ability to deliver on schedule. Successful candidates will be considered for ongoing work.
