Zoho Commerce Developer – Bookstore Website Setup & Inventory Integration

Project Overview: We are launching an independent bookstore website powered by Zoho Commerce and connected to Zoho Inventory (4000+ite3ms and growing). Our inventory and bibliographic metadata (titles, authors, ISBNs, binding formats, publishers) are already automated and ingested via Python API scripts. We need an experienced Zoho Commerce designer/developer to build a responsive, search-friendly, editorial-style bookstore site that integrates seamlessly with our Zoho One backend. Scope of Work: 1. Theme Selection & Customization: Configure a modern, typography-focused, clean e-commerce theme on Zoho Commerce optimized for high-SKU catalog readability. 2. Category & Navigation Setup: Build out a primary hierarchy (Fiction, Non-Fiction, Kids/YA, Staff Picks, Gifts) based on our 25 synced Zoho Inventory categories. Must have the capability for secondary and tertiary categories. 3. Product Page Customization (PDP): Customize the product template to display book-specific metadata (Author, Format, ISBN-13, Publisher, Publication Date) populated from Zoho Inventory custom fields. 4. Search & Filter Configuration: Implement intuitive faceted filtering on category pages (filter by Format/Binding, Price, and In-Stock status) and optimize search box performance. 5. Key Static Pages: o Homepage (Hero search bar, Staff Picks carousel, Curated collections, Event banner) o Events Calendar & Book Club pages o Store Info, Pickup Policies, and Local Author submission guidelines 6. Checkout & Fulfillment Configuration: Setup Zoho Commerce checkout with integrated Stripe payment gateway, flat-rate/carrier shipping, and an "In-Store Pickup" (Click & Collect) option. Requirements: • Proven portfolio building live storefronts on Zoho Commerce. • Deep understanding of how Zoho Inventory syncs items, categories, and custom fields to Zoho Commerce. • Strong front-end skills (HTML/CSS/Deluge/Liquid) for custom template adjustments. • Experience with bookstore, library, or high-SKU retail websites is a strong plus.
