AI-Assisted Full-Stack Engineer | React, Next.js & Custom Client Portals

We’re looking for an experienced full-stack software engineer to become a trusted long-term development partner for a growing AI software and automation company serving construction and real estate businesses. Most of our work involves custom-coded web applications, client portals, dashboards, internal tools, and workflow systems. We need someone who can take a defined business requirement, make sound technical decisions, and deliver clean, reliable software. This is not primarily a no-code position. Our ideal candidate is a software engineer who actively uses Claude or similar AI development tools to work efficiently but also has the engineering experience to review, debug, test, and improve the generated code. Typical Work - Build responsive web applications and client portals - Develop with React, Next.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript - Implement authentication and role-based permissions - Connect third-party APIs and business systems (Microsoft knowledge needed) - Work with databases and structured business data - Build dashboards, forms, tables, document areas, and workflow tools - Troubleshoot and improve existing applications - Provide clear documentation and project handoffs - Occasionally work with Airtable, Make, or Softr when a project requires it Required Experience - Strong software engineering background - Demonstrated client work using React and Next.js - Experience building and deploying production web applications - Comfortable working with APIs, databases, authentication, and permissions - Active experience using Claude in a professional development workflow - Able to independently troubleshoot issues rather than relying entirely on AI-generated code - Strong written English and dependable asynchronous communication - Comfortable working directly with a non-technical business owner - Able to explain technical decisions in clear language Nice to Have - Construction or real estate software experience - Airtable and Make integration experience - Familiarity with Softr or willingness to work in it occasionally - Experience translating business workflows into technical solutions Engagement This will begin with a small paid technical assessment for selected finalists. The assessment will be tightly scoped and time-limited. The successful candidate will be considered for ongoing project-based work as new client projects close. We are building our development capacity in advance, so there are no guaranteed weekly hours initially. The goal is to develop a trusted working relationship and transition suitable client builds to you as they become available.
