Claude AI Developer for Reporting Systems

About the Position. The Spanish Group is seeking an experienced Claude AI Developer to support AI reporting initiatives, automation projects, and Claude API integrations on an on-call / as-needed basis. This role is ideal for a developer who has real-world experience implementing Claude-powered solutions and can help design, build, optimize, and maintain AI-generated reporting systems using data from our existing WordPress and WooCommerce platforms. You will assist with reporting automation, prompt optimization, data processing, AI architecture decisions, and ongoing enhancements as new reporting and business intelligence needs arise. Availability during U.S. Los Angeles business hours is highly preferred, especially when support is needed for active development projects or operational initiatives. Responsibilities • Design and implement Claude API integrations • Develop AI-powered reporting and business intelligence solutions • Extract and process data from WordPress, WooCommerce, and MySQL databases • Design prompts and workflows for AI-generated reports • Improve report quality, consistency, and reliability • Optimize token consumption, response times, and API costs • Support report generation in formats such as HTML, PDF, CSV, and dashboard summaries • Implement logging, monitoring, and error handling processes • Assist with architecture decisions related to AI reporting systems • Collaborate with Operations and IT leadership on AI initiatives and reporting projects Required Skills • Demonstrated experience working with Anthropic Claude API • Experience building AI-powered applications or reporting systems • Strong understanding of prompt engineering and LLM workflows • PHP development experience • WordPress development experience • WooCommerce experience • MySQL and database querying experience • Experience with REST APIs and integrations • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot technical challenges • Strong English communication skills. Preferred • Extensive Claude API experience • Experience with OpenAI or other LLM platforms • Python experience • Experience with reporting systems or business intelligence platforms • Experience handling large datasets • Experience with automation and background processing systems • Experience optimizing AI performance and operating costs • Experience working with operational or business-critical platforms.
