Founding Lead Full-Stack Engineer — Early-Stage Healthcare SaaS (Contract-to-Hire)

**Role:** Founding / Lead Full-Stack Engineer — MediPort (Healthcare SaaS) **Type:** Contract-to-Hire | Remote **Engagement:** Paid 1–2 Week Trial Audit to Start We are looking for a senior full-stack engineer to take ownership of MediPort, a healthcare SaaS product, and bring it from an early working build to a genuinely production-ready platform. This is a founding-level role—you will be making critical architecture, reliability, and product decisions. ### Context The product was built quickly with heavy AI-assisted development velocity. It works, but a recent audit surfaced critical areas needing attention—content-integrity edge cases, silent failure states, and core workflows that require proper hardening. We need an engineer who excels at auditing early-stage builds and transforming them into rock-solid, trustworthy software. ### What You'll Do * Systematically audit the codebase and user flows for edge cases and silent failures. * Fix defect classes and put robust test coverage and automated CI/CD pipelines in place. * Set up production-grade observability and error monitoring (e.g., Sentry, OpenTelemetry). * Refine rough UX and asynchronous data flows. * Provide an honest technical read on platform readiness before we scale. ### What We're Looking For * Senior Full-Stack Engineer capable of owning both frontend and backend. * Proven track record taking rough, early-stage codebases to production-grade quality. * Strong product judgment—making smart trade-offs rather than just executing tickets. * Comfortable with ambiguity, startup pace, and auditing AI-generated code patterns. * Nice to have: Experience with healthcare/HIPAA constraints, LLM integrations, or high-stakes correctness domains (fintech, legal tech, healthtech). ### How We Hire We start with a small, paid trial project (1–2 weeks): you audit a specific part of the product and present your findings along with a clear remediation strategy.
