Frontend Developer for Retail E-commerce Platform

We’re looking for an experienced Frontend Developer to help us build the customer-facing side of a retail e-commerce platform. The platform will allow customers to browse products, search and filter the catalog, add items to their cart, complete purchases, and track their orders. We also need an admin interface where our team can manage products, inventory, and orders. We already have a clear idea of the core features and are looking for someone who can turn them into a clean, responsive, and easy-to-use interface. You’ll work closely with the backend developer to connect the frontend to APIs and make sure the main user flows work smoothly. This is an ongoing project, so there will be opportunities to improve the existing experience and build new features as the platform grows. What You’ll Work On - Storefront: Build responsive pages for the homepage, product categories, product details, and promotional sections. - Product Catalog: Implement product search, filters, sorting, product variants, pricing, and availability indicators. - Shopping Cart & Checkout: Develop cart interactions, quantity updates, checkout forms, and order confirmation screens. - Customer Accounts: Build login and registration flows, customer profiles, saved addresses, and order history. - Order Tracking: Create interfaces for displaying order statuses, shipping updates, and purchase details. - Admin Dashboard: Develop interfaces for product management, inventory updates, order processing, and basic sales reporting. - API Integration: Connect frontend components to backend services and handle loading states, validation, and errors. - Performance & UX: Improve page loading speed, navigation, accessibility, and the overall shopping experience across devices. Tech Stack The main stack includes Vue.js 3, Nuxt.js, TypeScript, and Pinia for state management. You should also be comfortable with HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript, REST APIs, and GraphQL, as well as Git and collaborative code review workflows. Experience with component libraries, automated testing, and frontend performance optimization is also important. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with 4+ years of professional frontend development experience and strong hands-on knowledge of Vue.js, TypeScript, and Nuxt.js, including server-side rendering. You should have experience building responsive interfaces for complex web applications, working with reusable components and state management, and integrating APIs with backend services. A good understanding of authentication flows, form validation, and error handling is essential. We also value developers who write maintainable code, can troubleshoot issues independently, and are comfortable discussing technical decisions with the rest of the team. Experience with e-commerce websites, product catalogs, checkout flows, or admin dashboards is a strong plus. Nice to Have Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Vitest would be helpful, along with familiarity with accessibility standards, SEO best practices, and frontend performance monitoring. Experience working with design systems or Figma is also welcome. Project Scope The initial phase will focus on the storefront, product catalog, shopping cart, checkout, customer account pages, and core admin interfaces. You’ll collaborate with the backend developer to integrate APIs and make sure the main customer and admin workflows are ready for production. As the platform evolves, we expect to add new features, improve the user experience, and potentially support mobile applications through a shared API.
