Full Stack Developer (Figma to Django html, css, java)

Job Title: Front-End UI Developer (Figma to Django) About the Project: We are building an interactive financial literacy platform and need a pragmatic, detail-oriented developer to bring our UI/UX designs to life. Our backend is built on Django and PostgreSQL, and we are looking for someone who can bridge the gap between design and engineering by translating our Figma prototypes into clean, production-ready code. The Role You will take ownership of converting finalized Figma designs into fully functional HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, integrating them seamlessly into our Django application. We are a forward-thinking team that embraces AI-assisted workflows. We highly encourage the use of tools like Cursor combined with the Figma Model Context Protocol (MCP) to accelerate the conversion process and automate boilerplate code generation. Key Responsibilities * Translate high-fidelity Figma mockups into responsive, accessible HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. * Integrate frontend assets directly into Django templates, ensuring smooth data binding and routing. * Collaborate on connecting the UI with our existing PostgreSQL database architecture. * Leverage AI coding assistants (like Cursor) to efficiently generate, refactor, and QA frontend code. * Maintain clean code architecture and ensure cross-browser compatibility across mobile and desktop. What We’re Looking For * Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript. * Hands-on experience working with Django templates and Python web frameworks. * Familiarity with PostgreSQL and how frontend interfaces interact with relational databases. * Experience navigating and extracting assets/specs from Figma. * A modern approach to development, including experience with or willingness to use AI tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude) to speed up UI conversion. * A strong eye for design details, ensuring the final code matches the original Figma prototypes pixel-for-pixel. Bonus Points * Experience building interactive educational tools, simulations, or LMS platforms. * Familiarity with Docker and containerized development environments.
