MERCHANT ONBOARDING COORDINATOR | MERCHANT SERVICES | PAYMENT PROCESSING
REMOTE CONTRACT POSITION | UNITED STATES & CANADA ONLY
Merchant services industry experience is required.
We're looking for an experienced merchant services professional to become the primary onboarding coordinator for new merchants after our sales team has secured their commitment.
If you've worked in Merchant Boarding, Merchant Onboarding, Underwriting Coordination, Merchant Services Operations, Payment Operations, Merchant Implementation, or ISO Operations, we'd like to talk with you.
This is NOT a sales position, cold-calling position, technical support role, or general administrative assistant position.
Instead, you'll become the merchant's primary point of contact after the sale and manage the onboarding process from application preparation through underwriting approval and equipment delivery while providing a white-glove onboarding experience.
Please note: Due to the specialized nature of this position, we're seeking candidates with previous merchant services experience. General virtual assistants, executive assistants, and administrative assistants without payment processing experience are unlikely to be a good fit.

WHO WE ARE
Auto Service Processing (ASP) is an established merchant services company specializing in payment processing solutions for auto service businesses throughout North America.
We've recently entered into a strategic partnership with a large international trade association that selected ASP as its preferred payment processing provider for its member businesses. This long-term relationship is expected to generate significant growth and has created the need to expand our operations team.
At ASP, we believe earning a merchant's business is only the beginning.
Our onboarding process is our first opportunity to demonstrate the level of service merchants can expect from us. Our goal is simple: provide a white-glove, concierge-style onboarding experience where merchants always know what's happening, what's next, and who to call.
────────────────────────
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You'll work directly with ASP's founder and leadership team to help build what we believe will become one of the premier onboarding experiences in the merchant services industry.
This isn't simply a paperwork position.
You'll help improve workflows, recommend better processes, and contribute to building an onboarding operation designed to scale with our company's growth.
If you've ever thought, "There's a better way to onboard merchants," this is your opportunity to help build it.
────────────────────────
YOUR ROLE
Once our sales team receives a commitment from a new merchant, you become that merchant's dedicated onboarding coordinator and primary point of contact.
You'll manage every onboarding project from application preparation through underwriting approval and equipment delivery before handing the account to our implementation team.
Your mission is simple:
Deliver an organized, proactive, professional onboarding experience that keeps every merchant informed while ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
────────────────────────
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Welcome new merchants and introduce yourself as their onboarding coordinator.
• Explain the onboarding process, timeline, and next steps.
• Prepare the online merchant application by verifying all information before sending it for electronic signature, including:
* Business information
* Contact information
* Business address
* Business type
* Pricing program
* Terminal quantities
* Processing options
• Send applications through the secure online portal.
• Monitor application completion.
• Monitor underwriting progress through the processor portal.
• Manage underwriting conditions and communicate documentation requests.
• Keep merchants informed with proactive status updates throughout onboarding.
• Monitor equipment orders and shipping.
• Confirm equipment has been delivered.
• Verify merchants are implementation-ready before handing them to the implementation team.
• Maintain accurate CRM notes and onboarding milestones.
• Keep ASP management informed of onboarding progress and immediately communicate issues that could delay implementation.
────────────────────────
THIS POSITION DOES NOT INCLUDE
• Sales
• Prospecting
• Cold calling
• Negotiating pricing
• Technical support
• Terminal programming
• Equipment installation
• Merchant training
• Ongoing customer support after implementation
• Merchant account management after onboarding

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're specifically seeking professionals with previous experience in the merchant services industry.
Experience in one or more of the following is highly desirable:
• Merchant Boarding
• Merchant Onboarding
• Merchant Services Operations
• Payment Processing
• Payment Operations
• Merchant Implementation
• Underwriting Coordination
• ISO Operations
• Acquiring Bank Operations
Experience working for a payment processor, ISO, acquiring bank, PayFac, or merchant services organization is strongly preferred.
Candidates with experience at organizations such as Global Payments, Payroc, Fiserv, First Data, North, Elavon, Worldpay, Heartland, TSYS, Priority, EVO Payments, Shift4, CardConnect, Paysafe, or similar organizations are encouraged to apply.
────────────────────────
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are:
• Highly organized
• Detail-oriented
• Comfortable managing multiple onboarding projects
• Professional on the phone
• A proactive communicator
• Self-motivated
• Able to keep projects moving without constant supervision
You understand that exceptional onboarding is an extension of the sales process. Every interaction should reinforce the merchant's confidence that they made the right decision by choosing ASP.
────────────────────────
WHY THIS OPPORTUNITY IS DIFFERENT
This position exists because of anticipated growth—not because we're replacing someone.
Initially, this is a flexible, project-based contract role. Workload will depend on the number of new merchants entering the onboarding process rather than a fixed weekly schedule.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced merchant services professional looking for meaningful, flexible work without the demands of a traditional corporate environment.
As our merchant portfolio grows, we expect this position to grow with it. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape our onboarding operation and may ultimately transition into a regular part-time or full-time leadership role as business needs evolve.
We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us—not simply complete tasks.
────────────────────────
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
Success isn't measured by the number of applications submitted.
Success is measured by merchants who say:
"The onboarding process was easy."
"I always knew what was happening."
"ASP made switching processors simple."
If creating that experience excites you, we'd love to hear from you.
────────────────────────

Please begin the FIRST LINE of your proposal with the words:
