Senior Full-Stack Developer — Admin Live Tracking & Delivery Partner Tracking

## About the Project We are a **startup e-commerce platform** with multiple vendors and an integrated delivery-partner ecosystem. We are looking for an experienced **Senior Full-Stack Developer** to develop **Admin Dashboard APIs and pages for Live Order Tracking and Delivery Partner Live Tracking**. **Important:** The existing platform, microservices architecture, delivery zones/microzones, H3-based geospatial setup and related APIs are already being developed. **You do not need to build the zone/microzone foundation from scratch.** The focus is on integrating with the existing system and implementing the live-tracking functionality. This is an initial fixed-price task with potential for **long-term work** based on performance and code quality. ## Existing Technology & Infrastructure * **Backend:** NestJS / Node.js / Microservices * **Database:** PostgreSQL * **Messaging:** Kafka * **Caching:** Redis * **Real-time:** WebSockets * **Geospatial:** Google Geocoding / Maps APIs * **Geo Indexing:** Uber H3 * **Frontend:** React / Next.js ### Already Available / In Development The following functionality is already being developed: * Delivery partner onboarding * Delivery partner management * Google Geocoding integration * Uber H3 integration * Zone creation * Microzone creation * H3 cell/geo mapping * Zone and microzone management APIs * Existing NestJS microservices architecture * Existing PostgreSQL database * Existing order/delivery-related services The developer should **understand and integrate with the existing architecture and APIs**, rather than unnecessarily redesigning or duplicating existing functionality. ## Scope of Work ### 1. Admin — Live Order Tracking Develop APIs and Admin Dashboard pages to: * View active/live orders * View order status in real time * View assigned delivery partner * View delivery partner's current location * Display order and delivery information on map * Track order movement/status * View pickup and delivery locations * View delivery timeline * Show delivery partner online/offline status * Identify orders without an assigned delivery partner * Search and filter orders * View individual order tracking details ### 2. Admin — Delivery Partner Live Tracking Develop APIs and Admin Dashboard pages to: * View delivery partners on map * View current GPS location * Online/offline status * Current assigned order * Delivery partner availability * Zone / Microzone * H3 cell information where required * Last location update time * Detect stale/inactive location * View delivery partner details * View active delivery status * Search/filter delivery partners ### 3. Real-Time Tracking Implement the required real-time communication between: **Delivery Partner → Backend → Admin Dashboard** and where required: **Delivery Partner → Backend → Customer** The implementation should use the existing architecture and appropriate combination of **WebSockets, Kafka, Redis and PostgreSQL**. ### 4. Geospatial Integration The existing system already uses: * Google Geocoding / Maps * Uber H3 * Zones * Microzones You will integrate the tracking functionality with these existing components. **No need to rebuild the zone/microzone creation system unless changes are genuinely required for tracking.** ## API Requirements APIs should be: * Properly authenticated and authorized * Validated * Secure * Idempotent where required * Properly documented * Optimized for PostgreSQL * Designed for real-time updates * Compatible with existing NestJS microservices * Integrated with existing Kafka / Redis / WebSocket architecture where appropriate ## Reliability Requirements The implementation should handle: * Live GPS updates * WebSocket reconnection * Delivery partner going offline * Stale locations * Duplicate events * Out-of-order events * Kafka failures/retries * Redis failures * Concurrent updates * Service restarts ## Deliverables * Admin Live Order Tracking APIs * Admin Live Order Tracking page * Admin Delivery Partner Live Tracking APIs * Admin Delivery Partner Live Tracking page * Map integration * Real-time location updates * Order/delivery details * Delivery partner status * Search and filters * Integration with existing Zone/Microzone/H3 APIs * PostgreSQL changes if required * Redis/Kafka/WebSocket integration where required * API documentation * Clean, maintainable code * Testing and bug fixes for delivered functionality ## Budget **Fixed Price: $150 USD — Negotiable** If you believe the scope requires a different budget, please mention your proposed price and explain why. ## Required Experience * **5+ years professional development experience** * Strong NestJS / Node.js experience * Microservices experience * PostgreSQL experience * React / Next.js experience * Kafka experience * Redis experience * WebSocket / real-time application experience * Google Maps / Geocoding experience * H3 / geospatial experience preferred * Experience building Admin Dashboards * Ability to understand and work with an **existing codebase** * Ability to integrate with existing APIs and architecture without unnecessary rewrites ## Long-Term Opportunity This is the **initial task**, with potential for continued long-term development. Successful delivery may lead to additional work across: * Delivery management * Order management * Logistics * Geospatial services * Admin dashboard * Microservices * Platform features and integrations ## Agreement Conditions * NDA / Confidentiality Agreement required. * Client receives full ownership of delivered source code and work product. * All code must be committed to the **client-controlled Git repository**. * No sharing or reuse of confidential project code/data. * No subcontracting without prior approval. * Secure handling of credentials and project information is mandatory. * No production secrets in source code or public repositories. * Third-party/open-source libraries must have appropriate licenses. * Important implementation/architecture decisions must be documented. * Developer must fix bugs related to the delivered scope. * Good communication and regular progress updates are expected. * Long-term engagement depends on quality, communication and successful delivery. ## How to Apply Please provide: 1.
