Website developer

Position: Software Developer – WordPress and Linux The Software Developer will co-design, build and hand over the project website and related web applications in close collaboration with the client and end users. The role includes translating user requirements into practical digital solutions; developing secure, responsive WordPress functionality and Linux-based hosting environments; integrating databases, APIs and third-party services; and ensuring reliable performance, security, backups and accessibility. A central responsibility is to ensure long-term sustainability and client ownership. The developer will prepare technical and user guidelines, develop training manuals, deliver hands-on training to client administrators and users, and provide clear documentation of hosting, administration, maintenance, security and troubleshooting procedures. The developer will also hand over complete and well-documented source code, configuration files, credentials and deployment instructions, using version control and open, maintainable technologies. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in WordPress development, Linux server administration, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Git, REST APIs and web security. Experience in participatory design, training delivery, technical documentation, source-code handover, knowledge transfer and post-launch support is essential. Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills are required.
