WooCommerce Developer

We’re looking for a Senior WooCommerce Developer to help us solve a growing technical challenge in our e-commerce platform. The Problem Our WooCommerce store has grown significantly, and the current setup is starting to show its limits. We’re dealing with slow checkout performance, complex customizations, and an increasing number of third-party integrations. Some parts of the system rely on legacy code, making it difficult to introduce new features without affecting existing functionality. We need someone who can take ownership of the WooCommerce side of the platform, identify the root causes, and build a more reliable and scalable solution. What You’ll Work On Optimize WooCommerce performance, especially cart and checkout. Refactor legacy WooCommerce code and improve the existing architecture. Develop custom WooCommerce plugins and functionality. Build and maintain integrations with payment providers, shipping platforms, CRM/ERP systems, and external APIs. Work extensively with WooCommerce hooks, filters, REST API, and webhooks. Investigate production issues and implement long-term fixes rather than temporary workarounds. Improve database queries and WooCommerce order processing. Prepare the platform for higher traffic and order volumes. Collaborate with the team to turn business requirements into reliable technical solutions. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of hands-on WooCommerce development experience. Strong PHP and WordPress development skills. Deep understanding of WooCommerce internals and architecture. Experience building custom WooCommerce plugins. Strong knowledge of hooks, filters, REST API, and webhooks. Experience optimizing WooCommerce stores with large product catalogs and order volumes. Solid MySQL knowledge. Experience integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways. Git and standard development workflows. Ability to independently investigate and solve complex technical problems. Nice to Have WooCommerce Subscriptions. HPOS. WooCommerce Blocks. WP-CLI. Redis/object caching. Docker and CI/CD. Experience with high-traffic e-commerce platforms.
