WordPress Developer Needed to Convert Existing Custom Post Type to Gutenberg

I’m looking for an experienced WordPress developer to update an existing custom post type so it can be edited using the Gutenberg block editor. The custom post type is used for monologues, and the website currently contains more than 400 published monologue posts. It was originally created several years ago using the Classic Editor. I would like to modernize the setup so Gutenberg blocks can be used when creating and editing monologue posts. The website uses a child theme, and individual monologue posts are displayed through a separate PHP template file named `single-monologues.php`. The plugins that are being used are Custom Post Type and Just Custom Fields. The monologue post type also uses custom fields in the WordPress admin area. Some of these include dropdown menus that make data entry faster. For example, a “From” field includes options such as Movie, Play, Musical, and TV. These existing custom fields, dropdown options, and saved values must remain intact and continue working with Gutenberg. Project requirements: * Determine where and how the monologue custom post type is currently registered. * Enable Gutenberg/block-editor support for the monologue post type. * Determine whether the existing content can remain as-is or requires any type of safe migration. * Preserve all 400+ existing monologue posts and their current URLs. * Preserve the existing post content, images, formatting, metadata, custom fields, dropdown menus, taxonomies, categories, tags, and saved values. * Keep the existing front-end appearance and functionality of the monologue pages intact. * Ensure the existing `single-monologues.php` template continues working correctly or make any necessary updates within the child theme. * Ensure new monologue posts can be created using Gutenberg blocks. * Ensure existing monologue posts can be safely edited without losing content or custom-field data. * Test multiple existing monologue posts and newly created Gutenberg posts on staging. * Create a complete backup and rollback plan before deploying anything to the live website. * Deploy the approved changes to the live website after testing. * Briefly document any code or configuration changes. Any necessary theme changes should be made within the child theme. Please do not edit WordPress core files or the parent theme. Please do not install a page builder or replace the existing custom post type or custom-field system unless we discuss and approve that approach first. It may be possible to complete this by enabling Gutenberg support in the existing custom post type registration without individually converting all 400+ posts. I would like the developer to inspect the current setup before recommending a larger migration. **Budget and milestones:** The initial estimated budget is $300 fixed price.
