Fix Bugs and Complete Key Features in Our Dating App

We have an existing dating app that is already partially built, but there are several issues that need to be cleaned up before we can move forward with the next release. I’m looking for an experienced mobile developer who can take over the current codebase, understand how the existing features work, identify the main problems, and fix them without unnecessarily rewriting stable parts of the application. The main focus is on the core dating workflow, including: * User registration, login, and profile setup * Profile editing and photo management * Discover/swiping functionality * Like, pass, and mutual match logic * Match list and messaging * Push notifications * Location-based discovery * Subscription/payment-related flows * App crashes, UI issues, and API errors * Fixing inconsistent state between the mobile app and backend There may also be a few unfinished features that need to be completed based on the existing implementation. What I need from you Please review the current codebase first and give me a short assessment of the major issues you find. After that, we can prioritize the fixes and work through them in order. I care more about someone who can properly debug and understand an existing application than someone who simply starts replacing code. You should be comfortable working with an existing mobile codebase, REST APIs, databases, authentication, real-time messaging, notifications, and third-party services. Ideal candidate * Strong experience with React Native / Flutter or native iOS/Android development * Good understanding of backend/API integration * Experience debugging production mobile applications * Comfortable working with an existing codebase * Familiar with dating, social, messaging, or marketplace-style applications * Able to communicate clearly about technical issues and estimated effort * Writes maintainable code and tests fixes before handing them back Project goal The immediate goal is to get the current dating workflow stable and production-ready, not to rebuild the entire application. If the first phase goes well, there will likely be additional development work for new features and improvements.
