# Senior Drupal Developer — Full-Time Remote We are seeking an experienced Senior Drupal Developer to lead the architecture, development, and modernization of enterprise-level content management systems. You will be responsible for custom Drupal development, integrations, performance optimization, security, and content-publishing workflows. This is a long-term, full-time remote position for someone who can work independently, make sound architectural decisions, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. ## Responsibilities * Design, build, and maintain enterprise Drupal 11+ applications. * Develop custom Drupal modules, themes, and integrations. * Work with Drupal core, Form API, Twig, Drush, and contributed modules. * Design robust database schemas and optimize complex queries. * Plan and execute data migrations, backups, and disaster-recovery procedures. * Build and consume REST and GraphQL APIs. * Identify and resolve performance, security, and scalability issues. * Configure caching strategies and improve application availability. * Establish coding standards and perform detailed code reviews. * Troubleshoot complex production and architectural problems. * Support integrations and frontend initiatives connected to the CMS. * Mentor junior and mid-level developers. * Communicate technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders. ## Required Qualifications * At least five years of professional backend web development experience. * At least four years of hands-on Drupal development experience. * Strong experience with Drupal 10 or 11 and modern Drupal architecture. * Advanced knowledge of custom modules, Form API, Twig, Drush, and Composer. * Strong PHP and object-oriented programming skills. * Advanced experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL. * Experience building and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs. * Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend integration workflows. * Experience with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines. * Experience using Docker-based local environments such as DDEV or Lando. * Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. * Good written and spoken English. * Ability to work collaboratively and mentor other developers. ## Nice-to-Have Skills * Cloudflare Workers, KV, caching, routing, or WAF. * Google Cloud Platform. * Kubernetes or serverless application patterns. * Acquia or Drupal-related certifications. * Experience supporting high-traffic publishing or content platforms. ## Engagement Details * Type: Full-time, long-term contract * Schedule: Monday through Friday * Working hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Central Time * Compensation: Fixed rate of USD 600 per month * Location: Remote Please apply only if you are comfortable with the specified schedule and monthly compensation. ## How to Apply Please include: 1.
