Radar & Sensing Engineer

Build the eyes for the airspace nobody currently sees. Fravek (https://fravek.com) is developing a new generation of passive radar for detecting drones and other low-altitude aerial threats. We're looking for an engineer who gets excited when mathematics becomes a signal on an SDR, and when that signal becomes a track on a screen. You might come from radar, telecommunications, electronic warfare, radio astronomy, acoustics, GNSS, SDR or another sensing field. What matters most is that you understand signal processing deeply and enjoy building real systems. You'll work across the boundary between physics, RF hardware and software, together with highly experienced radar and signal-processing engineers. You will work with things like: SDR receivers and RF front ends; antennas and multi-channel acquisition; signal detection and correlation; Doppler and spectral processing; clutter and interference suppression; localization and target tracking; Python/C++ and real-time DSP; GNU Radio or similar environments; prototype testing and field measurement. We're looking for someone who: has a strong foundation in maths, physics and digital signal processing; has actually worked with SDR/RF hardware, not just simulations; can turn algorithms into working software; enjoys experimenting with real-world signals; is curious enough to dive into unfamiliar technical problems; and wants to become exceptionally good at radar and sensing. Experience with passive radar, bistatic/multistatic radar, array processing, FPGA/GPU acceleration, synchronization, GNSS, EW or sensor fusion is a major plus — but we don't expect you to know everything. What we care about most is the combination of brains, hands and curiosity. You do not need to be a radar veteran. You need to want to become one.
