Senior React Native + TypeScript Developer for Mobile App Beta

We are looking for a senior React Native + TypeScript developer to build the beta of a mobile family coordination and information platform designed to help users navigate a complex institutional system. This is a real product build—not a landing page, prototype, or no-code project. The Product The application will take information about a user's circumstances, important dates, institutional location, and responsibilities and turn it into personalized next actions, reminders, guidance, and family coordination. The goal is not simply to create an information directory. The core value is helping users understand: • What needs to happen next • When it needs to happen • Who is responsible for it • What information applies specifically to their situation The beta will intentionally have a controlled initial scope, but the underlying architecture must support significant expansion later. Beta Functionality The beta is expected to include: • User authentication • User/profile onboarding • Institutional/facility selection • Personalized dashboard • Tasks and checklists • Important-date timeline • Structured guidance/resources • Family responsibility/coordination features • Push notifications and reminders • User feedback / inaccurate-information reporting • Basic analytics and error monitoring • A practical method for administrators to update content without requiring a new app release A more detailed product and technical brief will be provided to shortlisted candidates. Who We Are Looking For We want a senior developer who has actually shipped mobile products—not someone learning React Native during this project. You should have meaningful experience with: • Production React Native applications • TypeScript • PostgreSQL/Supabase or comparable backend architecture • Authentication and secure data access • Push notifications • TestFlight and Android beta/release workflows • Git-based development • Database design • Production debugging and QA Strong product thinking is important. We want someone who can identify unnecessary complexity, challenge weak technical assumptions, and propose better solutions while preserving the core product vision. Development Process We intend to begin with a paid technical-discovery milestone. That milestone will produce: • Recommended architecture • Refined database schema • Implementation backlog • Technical risk assessment • Final beta scope/acceptance criteria • Development timeline • Revised build estimate If the discovery engagement goes well, the developer will be strongly positioned to receive the remaining beta build. The company will own and control the source-code repository, backend project, developer accounts, production infrastructure, and project IP.
