AI Automation Specialist / n8n Developer for E-commerce Automation We run a growing e-commerce business selling across marketplaces such as Bol.com, Amazon and Shopify. We are looking for an experienced AI Automation Specialist / n8n Developer who can work with us long-term to gradually build an AI-powered e-commerce operations system. We don't want to build everything at once. We want to start with one solid automation, make it reliable, and expand from there. First project Our first goal is to automate our daily marketplace reporting and analysis. Currently, we manually collect and process sales, inventory and product data in spreadsheets. We want to automate this process. The first version should roughly work like this: Bol.com / marketplace data → database → Google Sheets/Excel → automated analysis → daily report For example: - Automatically retrieve sales/order data - Retrieve current inventory levels - Calculate sales per SKU/EAN - Calculate sales velocity - Compare 7 / 30 / 90-day performance - Update existing spreadsheets automatically - Identify unusual changes or important trends - Flag products that may run out of stock - Generate a simple daily management report We already have existing spreadsheets and processes. You will work together with us to understand these processes and determine what should be automated. Where we want to go If the first project works well, we want to continue developing the system. Future automations could include: - Amazon SP-API integration - Shopify integration - Inventory forecasting - Purchase recommendations - Automatic purchase-order preparation - Margin monitoring - Pricing analysis - Competitor monitoring - Product opportunity research - Advertising performance analysis - Automated management dashboards - AI-generated daily/weekly insights - Automated alerts - AI agents that can perform certain operational tasks independently The long-term goal is to build a digital AI e-commerce employee that continuously monitors our business, processes data and prepares actions for our team. Skills we're looking for Strong experience with: - n8n and/or Make - REST APIs - Python - SQL / databases - Google Sheets / Excel automation - AI / LLM integrations - OpenAI API or similar models - Webhooks - Reliable scheduled workflows - Error handling, logging and monitoring Experience with any of the following is a major advantage: - Bol.com Retailer/Partner API - Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API) - Shopify Admin API - E-commerce analytics - Inventory forecasting - Marketplace businesses Important We are not looking for someone who only builds simple ChatGPT workflows. The system will eventually be responsible for important operational data, so reliability, clean architecture and proper error handling are important. We also don't want unnecessary complexity. If something can be solved reliably without AI, it should probably be solved without AI. AI should mainly be used where reasoning, analysis or decision support adds value. How we want to work We prefer working in small phases. Phase 1: Marketplace data + automated spreadsheet/reporting Phase 2: Inventory forecasting + purchasing recommendations Phase 3: Pricing + competitor monitoring Phase 4: Product opportunity research Phase 5: More autonomous AI agents and actions If the cooperation works well, this can become a long-term project with many additional automations.
