AI/ML Engineering and Automation Specialist

We are looking for a skilled AI/ML Engineer with strong business automation experience to support the development and implementation of practical AI-powered solutions that streamline business processes, improve operational efficiency, and reduce repetitive manual work. The ideal freelancer will be comfortable working at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, workflow automation, AI agents, APIs, and business process optimization. You will help translate real-world business requirements into reliable, scalable, and user-friendly AI solutions. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys solving practical business problems with technology rather than focusing solely on theoretical AI/ML development. Key Responsibilities 1. AI Agent Development Design, develop, test, and improve AI-powered agents for business use cases. Build AI agents capable of reasoning, retrieving information, making decisions, and completing defined tasks. Integrate LLMs and AI models into practical business workflows. Develop agent workflows involving tools, APIs, databases, documents, and external applications. Improve agent reliability, accuracy, response quality, and task completion. Implement appropriate safeguards, validation, error handling, and human-in-the-loop processes where necessary. 2. Business Process Automation Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation. Design automated workflows that reduce repetitive administrative and operational tasks. Build integrations between business applications, databases, APIs, AI tools, and automation platforms. Automate processes such as data collection, document processing, reporting, communication, lead management, customer support, research, and internal operations. Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation workflows. Monitor workflows and identify opportunities for improved performance and reliability. 3. AI/ML Implementation Evaluate and implement appropriate AI/ML technologies for specific business requirements. Work with large language models, generative AI, NLP, classification, extraction, recommendation, or other relevant AI technologies. Develop practical AI solutions that can be integrated into existing business systems. Experiment with different models, prompts, tools, and architectures to determine the most effective approach. Evaluate AI outputs and continuously improve system performance. Consider cost, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability when selecting technical solutions. 4. API & Systems Integration Integrate AI solutions with third-party applications and business systems. Work with REST APIs, webhooks, databases, authentication systems, and other integration technologies. Connect AI agents to external tools and data sources. Develop reliable data flows between different systems. Troubleshoot API and integration issues. 5. Business Analysis & Solution Design Work directly with stakeholders to understand business requirements and operational challenges. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans. Identify opportunities where AI or automation can deliver measurable value. Recommend practical technology solutions based on business needs, budget, and scalability. Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 6. Testing, Documentation & Optimization Test AI agents, automation workflows, integrations, and business applications. Identify bugs, failure points, inaccurate AI responses, and workflow bottlenecks. Implement appropriate logging, monitoring, validation, and error-handling mechanisms. Document workflows, system architecture, integrations, and implementation procedures. Continuously optimize solutions for performance, reliability, usability, and cost efficiency.
