Automated Grocery Search & Brand-Match Bridge Widget (WordPress / Netlify / Gemini API)

We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack / WordPress Developer to deploy a Netlify serverless API function and integrate a frontend JavaScript search widget into an Elementor website. The complete technical specification and ~80% of the code logic is already written and ready for deployment. PROJECT OVERVIEW: Building an automated grocery item search and brand-matching intake widget. The widget queries a Netlify serverless bridge using the Google Gemini API to parse item attributes (package sizes, varieties, categories, vagueness flags, and estimated prices) and SerpApi (Google Shopping engine) to fetch exact brand product thumbnails (e.g., Doritos, Jif, Barilla). RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Serverless Deployment: Deploy provided Node.js handler (/netlify/functions/grocery-search.js) on Netlify and configure API environment variables (Gemini API & SerpApi). 2. Frontend Integration: Embed vanilla JavaScript and CSS into WordPress/Elementor. Ensure 400ms input debouncing works smoothly. 3. UI Functionality: Render dynamic product cards featuring brand thumbnails, category badges, size/variety pill buttons, and ALL-CAPS clarifying banners for vague inputs. Store estimated price data in hidden card attributes. ADDITIONAL FRONTEND LIST-BUILDING FEATURES: - "Add to List" Functionality: Clicking a button adds the configured item (with chosen size/variety) to an active list. - List UI & Controls: A sliding or sticky list drawer showing added items, quantity adjustments, and a total estimated cost sum. - Export Options: Native buttons for "Print List" (clean printable styling) and "Email/Share List" (submits list payload or copies plain text).
