Base44 / React Developer - Performance Review & KPI Management App Development Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Base44 and/or React developer to help us take an existing HR web application from a working prototype to a polished, stable, production-ready product. This is not a build-from-scratch project. We already have the core application, dashboards, workflows, and functionality in place. We’re looking for someone who can quickly understand what we’ve built, identify what needs improvement, and work with us to take the product to the next level. About the Project We are a Tokyo-based HR consulting company developing MaxKPI, a performance review and SMART KPI management application. The application is currently built in Base44 and includes: • Role-based dashboards for employees, managers, HR administrators, and executives • SMART KPI creation and management Performance review workflows and scoring • KPI Library functionality • Role-based access and authentication • English and Japanese functionality • Administrative and employee-facing workflows The core product is already developed. Our next stage is focused on product refinement, technical stability, usability, and production readiness. This is consistent with the current MaxKPI brief, which describes the existing prototype and its core functionality. What We Need Help With The developer will help us: • Review the existing Base44 application and its architecture • Identify technical issues, limitations, and opportunities for improvement • Improve UI/UX, navigation, dashboards, and overall user flow • Refine KPI and performance review workflows • Review authentication, permissions, database structure, and role-based access • Troubleshoot bugs, routing, state management, and performance issues • Improve mobile responsiveness and UI consistency • Prepare the application for reliable production use • Recommend practical improvements for future scalability • Advise on the future technical direction of the product, including Base44 and potential React/Next.js development We are not looking to automatically rebuild the application. We want someone who can evaluate what already exists and recommend practical improvements. Who We’re Looking For You may be a good fit if you have: • Strong experience developing modern web applications • Experience with Base44 and/or React • Experience improving an existing prototype or MVP • Good understanding of databases, authentication, permissions, and application workflows • Strong UI/UX judgment • Ability to troubleshoot and work independently • Clear English communication skills • Experience with SaaS or business applications • Experience with HR technology, performance management systems, or Japanese/English applications is a plus, but not required. Project Scope • Expected duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks • Estimated effort: Up to approximately 50–60 hours Potential for Ongoing Work We would like to build a relationship with the right developer. If the initial MaxKPI project goes well, there may be opportunities to continue supporting MaxKPI and other digital HR products we are developing.
