Build a Private Standalone Android APK

We are looking for an experienced React Native / Android developer to complete and prepare for production an existing private mobile application. The project is already developed and available in a private GitHub repository Full technical and functional details will be shared privately with selected candidates. ### Technical requirements The application includes: * React Native frontend; * Android NFC read/write functionality; * QR-code scanning using the device camera; * authentication and different user permission levels; * communication with an existing production API; * multiple users/devices operating simultaneously; * basic offline handling and synchronization when connectivity is restored. The application is intended for company-owned Android smartphones and tablets and will be distributed privately. ### Main objective We need a production-ready signed standalone APK that: * installs directly on Android smartphones and tablets; * does not require Expo Go or a development server; * includes all required native Android NFC and camera functionality; * communicates correctly with the existing production backend; * can be updated in the future using the same Android signing identity; * is stable and suitable for professional production use. ### Scope of work The selected developer will receive access to the complete private GitHub repository and detailed documentation about the application's workflow. The work will include: * reviewing the existing React Native project; * identifying and resolving build or dependency issues; * reviewing the Android native configuration; * completing or correcting NFC integration where necessary; * verifying QR/camera functionality; * verifying API communication and authentication; * testing multi-device and multi-user operation; * testing connectivity loss and recovery; * creating the production Android build; * configuring secure Android signing; * performing final testing on physical Android hardware. Deliverables * Production-ready signed APK; * successful installation and testing on physical Android devices; * verified NFC read/write functionality; * verified QR-code scanning; * verified authentication and API communication; * verified simultaneous multi-device operation; * verified offline/reconnection behavior; * Android signing configuration and key delivered securely; * documented procedure for generating future signed APK versions; * all required source code and native Android configuration committed to the private GitHub repository; * no dependency on the developer's personal accounts, infrastructure or credentials after project completion. ### Important Real NFC testing is required. Please confirm in your proposal: 1. Whether you own or have access to a physical NFC-enabled Android device for testing. 2. Your experience with React Native and native Android development. 3. Your experience with NFC read/write functionality. 4. Examples of previous React Native or Android projects involving NFC, QR scanning or native hardware integration. 5. Your experience producing and signing standalone Android APKs. 6. Whether you are comfortable reviewing and improving an existing codebase rather than starting from scratch.
