Developer Needed: Real-Time Body Movement Detection via Webcam (PHP CodeIgniter 4 / JavaScript / MediaPipe) Project Description I am looking for an experienced developer to implement a reliable, real-time body movement detection system using a laptop's webcam. The application must detect and distinguish the following four body movements: 1. Jumping – Detect when a person jumps off the ground. 2. Crouching – Detect when a person bends their knees and lowers their upper body. 3. Kicking – Detect when a person performs a kicking movement with either leg. 4. Lying down – Detect when a person lies down horizontally. The detected movement must be displayed immediately as text on the screen. For example: - "JUMP DETECTED" - "CROUCH DETECTED" - "KICK DETECTED" - "LYING DOWN DETECTED" If no movement is detected, the display should show "NO MOVEMENT DETECTED". Technical Requirements - Backend integration using PHP 8+ and CodeIgniter 4. - Frontend using JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS. - Webcam access using the browser's getUserMedia API. - Real-time body pose estimation using MediaPipe Pose Landmarker or an equivalent technology. - Recognition of full-body movements using body landmarks and movement analysis. - Real-time detection without noticeable delays. - Stable recognition under normal indoor lighting conditions. - Detection should work with a person standing at a reasonable distance from the laptop camera. - The system must distinguish between the four movement types and avoid false detections as much as possible. - Movement detection should work continuously, not just on individual snapshots. - Detection should be performed locally in the browser wherever possible, without streaming webcam footage to a server. The developer must test all four movements under different conditions, including: - Different body sizes and heights. - Different distances from the camera. - Different movement speeds. - Different camera positions. - Different lighting conditions. The system should use temporal movement analysis rather than relying on a single frame. For example, jumping must be distinguished from simply raising the arms or standing on tiptoes.
