E-commerce Automation Engineer: Multi-Account API Integration & AI Agent Setup

Project Overview: We are a high-volume manufacturing business based in the UK (Bradford) specializing in custom-tailored car floor mats (www.thecarmat.co.uk). We sell across multiple channels: our own website, multiple eBay accounts, Amazon, and Temu. We require an automation specialist to build an integrated system that downloads orders nightly, processes them for production, handles shipping labels, and integrates an AI Customer Support Agent to handle marketplace messaging. Core Technical Requirements: 1. Order Aggregation & Parsing: Build a nightly workflow (using Make.com or self-hosted n8n) to download orders from Amazon, Temu, Website, and multi-account eBay. The system must parse vehicle data (Make, Model, Year, and specific variants derived from our UK Reg lookup). 2. Production File Routing (Optitex .PDS & Auto Nesting Integration): • Our master pattern design library consists of Optitex .pds files. During production, these are imported into Auto Nest to generate the final .GBR cutting files. • The bot must automatically map incoming marketplace vehicle data (e.g., "VW Golf 2020+ RHD, 4 Clips") to the exact corresponding .pds pattern file name in our database. • Every evening, the bot must generate a standardized CSV/Excel production batch sheet linking each order item to its specific .pds file name and carpet grade. This file must be dropped into a shared network folder (Dropbox/OneDrive) so our nesting software can queue the correct patterns automatically the next morning. 3. Courier & Label Integration: Connect the order data to a shipping management system (like Veeqo or ShipStation) to automatically generate labels based on package size/weight, and automatically push tracking numbers back to the exact originating marketplace account. 4. AI Customer Support Agent: Connect an AI model (OpenAI API or Anthropic API) to a unified inbox (like eDesk or a custom Make.com setup) to automatically draft context-aware replies for common queries ("Where is my order", "Wrong item/edging received", "Doesn't fit my vehicle"). The AI must reference a structured vehicle fitment matrix database. Security, Data Privacy & Compliance Guardrails (STRICT): * No Master Access: The freelancer will never be given master passwords or primary login credentials to our e-commerce accounts or financial platforms. * Staff Accounts Only: Work must be done via restricted Staff Accounts with permissions limited strictly to "View Orders" and "Manage Messages". * Screen-Share API Connection: Connections to live marketplace APIs must be done via a live screen-share session (Zoom/Teams) where the business owner inputs the API keys directly. * Testing Phase: All workflows must be built and fully tested using mocked/dummy data in a sandbox environment before touching live production data. * NDA Required: The selected freelancer must sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before project commencement. This protects your cash flow and ensures they deliver working software before getting full payment: * Milestone 1 (Data & Order Plumbing): £400 • Paid when: The bot successfully pulls orders from all platforms and correctly generates the nightly CSV batch sheet with your .pds file names. * Milestone 2 (Courier & Labels Integration): £300 • Paid when: The bot generates shipping labels via your courier API and automatically uploads tracking numbers back to eBay, Amazon, Website, and Temu. * Milestone 3 (AI Customer Service Bot): £300 • Paid when: The AI is fully trained on your car fitment rules and correctly drafts replies for "Where is my order" and "Wrong item" queries inside your helpdesk inbox. * Experience Level Required: Expert Screening Questions: 1.
