ERPNext Automation Developer – Claude & AI Agents

The developer will work with our existing ERPNext setup and create a reliable architecture for connecting Claude/AI agents with ERPNext data, APIs and workflows. Scope of Work Develop and customize ERPNext/Frappe applications Connect Claude and AI agents with ERPNext Build secure tools/APIs that allow agents to read and update ERP records Create automated workflows across CRM, Sales, Finance, HR, Inventory and Operations Develop agents for reporting, follow-ups, task management and data analysis Build AI-assisted document and report generation Implement human approval before agents perform critical actions Configure role-based access and permissions for AI agents Integrate ERPNext with external applications and APIs Build logging and monitoring for agent activities Troubleshoot and improve existing ERPNext functionality Help design scalable agent architecture for future use cases Example Agent Workflows An AI agent may receive a request such as “Show me all overdue customer payments and prepare follow-up actions.” The agent should be able to understand the request, retrieve the correct ERPNext information, analyze it and prepare or execute the appropriate workflow based on predefined permissions. Other agents may support sales teams, analyze operational data, prepare management reports, identify pending activities or coordinate workflows between different ERPNext modules. Technical Experience We are looking for experience with: ERPNext / Frappe Framework • Python • JavaScript • REST APIs • Webhooks • Claude API • Claude Code • MCP • LLM Tool Calling • AI Agents • RAG • Git • Linux Strong ERPNext experience is essential. Previous experience building production AI agents or connecting LLMs with business systems will be a major advantage. This is intended to be an ongoing project, with additional agents, integrations and ERP automation being introduced over time.
