WordBridge Interpreter Assignment Monitoring & Automation — Playwright/Python Developer
Project Overview
I am a professional Spanish interpreter using the SOSi WordBridge platform for Washington State L&I interpretation assignments.
I am looking for an experienced Python/Playwright browser automation developer to first perform a technical feasibility assessment and build a small working prototype that can monitor my WordBridge interpreter account for available assignments.
WordBridge is a proprietary, web-based scheduling platform used by SOSi for interpretation assignments. SOSi describes the system as a mobile-friendly scheduling platform supporting in-person, video, and telephone interpretation.
Phase 1 — Feasibility Study
Before building a full automation system, I want you to determine:
1. How WordBridge delivers available assignments to an interpreter.
2. Whether WordBridge uses an accessible API/backend endpoint that can be legitimately used.
3. If there is no API, whether Playwright/browser automation can reliably monitor the assignment interface.
4. Whether assignment availability can be detected without excessive requests or actions that could trigger account security protections.
5. Whether the platform has any technical restrictions that would prevent automation.
6. Whether assignment details can be read reliably enough to apply filtering rules.
7. Whether the system can detect a newly available assignment quickly enough to be useful.
Do not attempt to bypass CAPTCHA, MFA, security controls, rate limits, access controls, or other protections.
Phase 2 — Prototype
If technically feasible, build a small prototype that:
- Logs into my WordBridge account securely.
- Monitors the appropriate assignment screen.
- Detects newly available assignments.
- Extracts relevant information such as:
- Language
- Date
- Start time
- End time/duration
- Assignment type (OSI/VRI/OPI)
- Location
- Any displayed pay/compensation information
- Applies user-defined filtering rules.
- Alerts me when a qualifying assignment is detected.
Initially, I prefer notification/confirmation rather than automatic acceptance so that the system can be tested safely.
If automated acceptance is technically possible and permitted by the platform's rules, we can discuss adding that functionality as a separate phase.
Example Filtering Rules
The final system should eventually be able to use rules such as:
- Spanish only
- In-person assignments preferred
- Maximum travel distance
- Minimum compensation
- Preferred cities/locations
- Preferred days
- Preferred hours
- Minimum assignment duration
- No conflicts with existing appointments
- Ignore assignments that don't meet my criteria
The rules should be configurable rather than hard-coded.
Technical Requirements
You should have demonstrated experience with:
- Python
- Playwright
- Browser automation
- Selenium (helpful but not required)
- Web application debugging
- Network/API inspection
- Authentication/session handling
- JavaScript/HTML/CSS
- Building reliable monitoring systems
- Secure handling of login credentials
Experience with scheduling, dispatch, marketplace, gig-work, or appointment platforms is a major plus.
Security Requirements
This is extremely important.
You will be working with an account containing confidential interpreter/assignment information.
I will NOT provide unrestricted access to personal information beyond what is necessary for testing.
The system must:
- Never store my WordBridge password in plain text.
- Never send my credentials to third parties.
- Avoid storing unnecessary assignment information.
- Use secure credential/session handling.
- Not transmit my WordBridge data to an AI service or external database without my explicit permission.
- Not bypass security controls.
- Not attempt to defeat CAPTCHA, MFA, rate limits, or other security mechanisms.
Deliverables
For Phase 1, I want:
1. Written feasibility assessment.
2. Explanation of how WordBridge assignment availability is technically delivered.
3. Recommendation of the best automation approach.
4. Small proof-of-concept demonstrating that assignment availability can be detected.
5. Estimated cost and timeline for the complete system.
6. Identification of any technical or platform-policy limitations.
For Phase 2, if approved:
1. Working monitoring application.
2. Configurable assignment filters.
3. Notification system.
4. Installation/setup instructions.
5. Source code.
6. Documentation.
7. Basic troubleshooting instructions.
Important
Please do NOT quote me $1,000+ immediately for a complete system.
I want to start with a small paid feasibility/prototype project.
My initial budget for Phase 1 is approximately $100–$250.
If the feasibility study is successful, I am willing to negotiate a separate budget for the complete system.
When Applying, Please Answer These Questions
1. Have you automated authenticated websites using Playwright? Give me an example.
2. Have you worked with scheduling or assignment/dispatch platforms?
3. Have you reverse-engineered or documented web API calls used by a website for legitimate automation purposes?
4. Would you recommend API automation or Playwright for this project, and why?
5. How would you detect new assignments efficiently without constantly refreshing the page?
6. How would you securely handle my login/session?
7. Can you perform Phase 1 without attempting to bypass CAPTCHA, MFA, rate limits, or other security controls?
8. What would you charge for the Phase 1 feasibility study?
9. How many hours would you estimate for Phase 1?
10. If Phase 1 succeeds, what would you estimate for the complete monitoring system?
Please do not send a generic "I can do this" proposal. I want a developer who can explain the technical approach.
