React Native / Expo Developer — Build & Ship an iOS MVP Fast

We’re building the first version of a new consumer iOS app and are looking for a strong React Native / Expo developer to take ownership of the MVP and build it quickly and well. The product is already clearly defined. Core UX, screens, flows, and MVP scope are worked out. Your job is to turn that into a polished, functional iOS app. What we’re looking for: * Strong React Native, Expo, and TypeScript skills * Fast at turning designs into working product * Strong attention to UI accuracy * Comfortable handling frontend plus the basic backend needed for an MVP * Able to solve problems and make sensible technical decisions independently * Reliable and easy to communicate with * Available approximately 35–40 hours/week * Able to start soon We care more about ability, speed, ownership, and what you have actually built than years of experience. MVP The app is a simple social planning product for creating plans with friends that we believe is an order of magnitude better than current options. Core functionality includes: * User onboarding * Creating plans/events * Date, time, location, and details * Sharing/inviting users * Plan/invitation pages * Yes / No / Undecided responses * Seeing who is attending * Basic plan/chat functionality * Clean, polished iOS UI The first version is iOS only and intentionally focused. Useful experience * Supabase or Firebase * Git / GitHub * TestFlight / App Store submission * Authentication * Push notifications * Mobile UI implementation * AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot You will receive clear product direction, UI references, and expected functionality. We want someone who can take that direction and execute without needing every implementation detail explained. This is initially a short-term MVP build with approximately full-time hours. If the product performs well, there may be significantly more work afterward.
