WordPress Developer With Elementor Experience

We are looking for a reliable WordPress Developer with strong Elementor experience to maintain and improve an established technical website. The site includes member resources, standards and specification pages, news, events, newsletter forms, directories, and login related areas. This is a part time role for someone who can keep the site secure, fast, stable, and easy to manage while helping us make regular content, layout, and feature improvements. Responsibilities Maintain and optimize an established WordPress website on an ongoing basis. Audit the site for security issues, spam links, suspicious outbound links, malware, outdated plugins, unauthorized content, and other cleanup needs. Build, edit, and troubleshoot pages, templates, sections, forms, and responsive layouts in Elementor or Elementor Pro. Update WordPress core, plugins, themes, and Elementor safely, using backups and staging when available. Perform regular security checks and apply WordPress security best practices. Maintain technical content pages, resource pages, specification pages, news posts, event listings, member related pages, and directory style content. Test newsletter signup, contact forms, member application forms, login related paths, and other important user flows after updates. Check and fix broken links, redirects, navigation issues, and content formatting problems. Improve website speed, stability, mobile usability, and uptime. Make content, image, landing page, product, and layout updates as needed. Implement new features or plugin based functionality when appropriate. Troubleshoot and resolve site issues, plugin conflicts, layout problems, and broken functionality. Test changes across desktop and mobile before publishing. Communicate clearly about progress, blockers, risks, and recommended improvements. Required Experience Strong hands on experience with WordPress development, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Proven experience working with Elementor, including responsive editing, templates, theme builder, global styles, widgets, forms, and custom CSS when needed. Experience maintaining established WordPress sites with many pages, posts, downloads, forms, menus, redirects, and archived content. Experience finding and removing spam links, injected content, suspicious users, malware, or other signs of WordPress compromise. Comfortable working with WordPress themes, child themes, plugins, customizations, and common hosting environments. Good understanding of WordPress performance optimization, caching, image optimization, and basic technical SEO. Good understanding of WordPress security, backups, plugin updates, user roles, and safe release practices. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript for practical WordPress fixes. Ability to work independently, document changes, and ask clear questions when requirements are incomplete. Strong attention to detail and proactive problem solving. Nice To Have Product catalog experience. Experience with nonprofit, association, membership, technical publication, engineering, standards, or resource library websites. Experience maintaining member directories, document libraries, event listings, press releases, or gated member resources. Experience with forms, popups, email integrations, analytics, Google Search Console, or conversion tracking. Experience with staging sites, backups, Cloudflare, cPanel, managed WordPress hosting, or similar tools. Ability to suggest practical improvements without overcomplicating the site. Working Style Availability for 10 to 20 hours per week on an ongoing basis. Clear written updates after each work session or task batch. Willingness to use a staging site or backup first for higher risk changes. Fast response for urgent website issues when possible.
