Experienced AI/ML Engineer for Model Fine-Tuning & AWS Deployment

We have a pre-trained computer vision model (ResNet-based) and a small labeled dataset (~2,000 images) for a niche classification task. We need an AI/ML engineer to handle two specific deliverables: 1. LLM-Style Fine-Tuning & Model Tuning (Python) Fine-tune the model using Python and TensorFlow/Hugging Face tools. Apply proper Model Tuning techniques (learning rate scheduling, data augmentation) to improve accuracy on our dataset. We expect the Fine-Tuning process to be documented with clear Python scripts so our team can reproduce it. 2. Model Deployment to Amazon Web Services Deploy the final model to Amazon Web Services (SageMaker, EC2, or Lambda). We need a working endpoint that accepts image inputs and returns predictions. The Model Deployment should include a simple Python API (FastAPI/Flask) and basic instructions for Self-hosted AI migration if we later move off AWS. Requirements: Strong Python skills for Machine Learning and Deep Learning Experience with Computer Vision model Fine-Tuning Hands-on Model Deployment experience on Amazon Web Services Familiarity with Hugging Face or TensorFlow for model handling Ability to deliver clean, documented Python code Nice to Have: Experience with Large Language Model workflows (we have a follow-up NLP project) Natural Language Processing background for future phases React or JavaScript knowledge if you can build a simple web demo (optional, not required for this budget) Deliverables: Fine-tuned model file(s) and Python training script Deployed API endpoint on Amazon Web Services Brief documentation for Model Tuning parameters and deployment steps This is a scoped, fixed-price task. We are testing capabilities for a larger Artificial Intelligence and Web Development engagement.
