HTML Museum Experience Development

This project is to develop a series of digital interactives for a full Museum fitout. In New Zealand, the Sports Hall of Fame is building a whole new Museum. These digital expereinces will be containing a large amount of archive images, video and general data. The content will not be running on a web server. Instead the content will be loaded on to a BrightSign to run locally. This removes a lot of the risk with interne services failing and dependancies on online js packages, etc. So all of the file structures must be fully offline and be able to run on the local file system of a BrightSign. If expanded features are required, then BrightSigns do support NodeJS. This will allow more complex features if required. There are 3 main styles of interactive. So all interactives can be based on 1 of 3 templates. These templates will be provided as a wireframe for this project. All wireframes provided will be done by a local NZ consultant. The first phase will be to convert the wireframes into the working templates for the 3 formats of interactive that are being developed. These are relatively simple interactives with in-gallery use on a touchscreen in mind only. These will not be used on a website on mobile devices, etc. Just in-gallery touchscreens. So no dynamic sizing required. The general structure would be something along the lines that there would be a HTML index page that contains all of the actions. So a single page web app. The text content and reference to images and video will all be contained within a folder and a JSON file. So the HTML file will read the JSON file to pull the text data and which image / video to display. This will make updates and additions in the future very easy as the HTML remains the same, the content only changes. There is a content specialist who you will work with directly to collect the content. It will be expected that the sorting and management of the content that is submitted is done by whoever picks up this contract. This is so that the full HTML packages can be collated and downloaded as a full set for BrightSign deployment. There will be a certain amount of design required. There will also need to be a certain amount of edits that will be requested by the Museum team. This project is in the process of being signed up as a contract, but and I am preparing the team of support in order to make the tight deadline. I will be reviewing submissions on this project over the course of the next couple of weeks. I will contact you if / when I have questions or want to discuss further. This is set as an hourly rate project. However, I do have an upper limit of budget, so time will need to be managed. I will be expecting to see daily progress reports to keep track of the budget.
