Senior TypeScript + AWS Engineer

AI platform that reads a trucking company's quote and booking emails, sorts them, suggests the price and drafts the reply. Most code is written with Claude Code from prepared, step-by-step prompts (7 steps: skeleton, accounts and roles, business rules, Gmail connection, AI layer, screens, AWS). We need the human expert in the loop: you run or guide each step, review every pull request line by line, fix what the AI gets wrong, and merge only what you would sign your name under. You own the architecture, security and the Gmail integration. What you will do: Review and merge every pull request; keep tests green; push back on the plan when it is wrong. Build the Gmail integration: OAuth (Google Workspace Internal app first), watch + Pub/Sub + History API, idempotent processing, replies sent in the same thread, token storage in Secrets Manager. Make sure no incoming email is ever silently missed, and that we would know if one were. Keep the rule: we store extracted information, not full emails. Write short plain-English notes for a non-technical founder.
