Software Engineer — API Integrations & CRM Development

$10–$15/hour | Remote | Long Term Swift Public Adjusters is looking for a software engineer to help build, troubleshoot, and maintain our internal applications, CRM systems, and integrations. You’ll work directly with our Director of IT Operations on clearly defined tasks. We use AI tools extensively and want someone who can use them effectively while understanding, reviewing, and testing the work they produce. The work includes building and troubleshooting API integrations, webhooks, and automation; fixing bugs; and extending existing applications and CRM functionality. You’ll review existing code and documentation, submit focused Git branches and pull requests, and track progress, blockers, and test results in our project management tool. You should have practical software engineering experience with APIs, authentication, databases, Git, and debugging. Experience with AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar is also important. You must be able to identify mistakes in AI-generated code, verify behavior through meaningful testing, and complete defined tasks within an existing architecture. Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Cloudflare Workers, EspoCRM, GoHighLevel, or RingCentral is helpful. You don’t need experience with every platform. We provide task scope, repositories, documentation, and review. You remain responsible for the code and results you submit, including work created with AI assistance. Excellent or native-level English isn’t required. We value clear, concise written updates explaining what you completed, how you tested it, what remains, and where you need help. Raise blockers promptly and distinguish verified results from assumptions. We expect to begin with a small paid engineering task. Successful collaboration may lead to ongoing work.
