Web Developer for Professional Services Website Rebuild / Improvement

We are a California-based professional services firm looking for a web developer to improve our existing website. Our clients are other businesses, not consumers, so the site needs to read credibly to professional buyers and make it easy for them to understand our services and contact us. Known issues so far: • Broken XML sitemap • No URL hierarchy between service pages and blog posts • Missing schema markup • Weak internal linking • Conversion and inquiry tracking not properly configured There are likely more. Part of what we want is an honest assessment of whether the site is worth fixing as is or whether the structure needs rebuilding. Scope of work: • Audit the current site and tell us what is actually wrong • Fix technical issues • Improve site structure and service page organization • Set up proper conversion tracking • Recommend whether a rebuild is warranted, and handle it if so SEO experience is a strong plus. The site has existing search visibility we do not want to damage, so we need someone who understands how structural and URL changes affect rankings, and who can work alongside an SEO consultant rather than against them. What we are looking for: • Demonstrated work on B2B or professional services sites • Straight answers rather than a sales pitch, including if the work is bigger than we expect • Ability to explain technical decisions in plain terms In your proposal, please include: • Relevant examples of similar work • Your rate and how you typically structure engagements • Whether you handle SEO-aware development yourself or work with someone We will share the site URL with shortlisted candidates.
