WhatsApp AI Internal Knowledge Agent: Vector DB, Document Ingestion & Chat Integration

We're looking for a developer to build a WhatsApp-based AI agent that answers questions from an internal knowledge base. All 4 components are bundled into a single fixed-price contract of $300 USD, paid as one milestone upon completion. What needs to be done: 1) Conversational Agent Flow: Design and implement the end-to-end agent logic that receives incoming WhatsApp messages and routes them through an AI model to generate relevant responses. The agent should handle context, fallback cases, and structured replies. 2) Supabase and Vector Database Setup: Set up a Supabase project with a vector-enabled database (pgvector or equivalent) to store and retrieve document embeddings. Configure the schema, indexing, and similarity search logic needed for knowledge retrieval. 3) Document Ingestion Pipeline: Build a pipeline to process and ingest internal knowledge documents (text files, PDFs, or similar) into the vector database. This includes text chunking, embedding generation, and batch upload logic. 4) Firestore Search Integration: Implement Firestore-based tools that the agent can call to search structured records or supplement vector search results. This should work alongside the vector DB to provide comprehensive answers. Deliverables: - Functional WhatsApp agent connected to the knowledge base. - Supabase project configured with vector search. - Ingestion script for loading documents into the database. - Firestore search tools integrated into the agent flow. - Brief setup and usage documentation. Timeline: roughly 7 to 10 business days total. Revisions: up to 2 rounds of revisions per component within original scope, included. IP and Confidentiality: All code becomes our property upon final payment. Contractor agrees not to share or reuse the codebase or business logic. Ideal candidate: Developer with experience in AI chatbot integrations, vector databases, and Firebase or Supabase. Familiarity with WhatsApp Business API or similar messaging APIs is a plus.
